Full description
On July 11th, the bus will bring us from Bremen to Wageningen (The Netherlands). We will have lunch and a town walk in Tecklenburg, a small, picturesque German township located in the famous Teutoburgerwald. At night, we will arrive in Wageningen, where we will stay in the WICC hotel for four nights. The next day, we will first visit the best preserved fortified city of The Netherlands, Naarden, where you will make a city tour by stepscooter. The rest of the day, we will spend in Amsterdam, where you will be free to explore one of the most vibrant cities in the world. On Day three, we will visit Burgers’ Zoo in Arnhem, which hosts Europe’s largest indoor coral reef. Next door, you will find the Dutch Open Air museum, where we will experience 2000 years of Dutch history. On Day four, we will start with a tour of Wageningen University, including a visit to the live animal facilities. After that, we will move to the Kröller-Müller museum, famous for its large collection of Van Gogh paintings. This museum is located in National Park “De Hoge Veluwe”, the largest forest of The Netherlands, which you can explore by bicycle. The tour will end with a joint dinner. On July 15th, the bus will bring you back to Bremen, or you can take a train to Amsterdam Schiphol airport, depending on your flight schedule.
